LeAnna Kay "LeAnn" Potter, age 66, returned to her Father in Heaven on Thursday, January 28, 2016 in St. George, Utah following a valiant battle with a sudden onset of cancer. She was born July 30, 1949 in St. George, Utah to Archie Elmer and Anna Brotherson Hughes. On July 19, 1969 she married her high school sweet heart, Robert Allen Potter in the St. George LDS Temple.
LeAnn lived most of her life in Mesquite, Nevada. She worked hard throughout her life, first in the Hughes Family Business and later as the controller for the Oasis Hotel and Casino. Her favorite job was with AFLAC as she worked as a Regional Sales Coordinator. This job brought the opportunity to live in several different cities throughout the United States. Her children and grandchildren were always her top priority. She gave her grandchildren the gift of seeing the country by having them all stay with her and Bob for six weeks every summer. She loved showing them the sights in Virginia, Utah, New York, Hawaii, Mexico, Arkansas, Texas, Arizona and everywhere in between.
Always active in the LDS Church, she loved leading the music, directing choirs as well as serving in all the auxiliaries. She will be remembered for her love and support for her husband, all of her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her sweetheart, Robert; two daughters and one son: Jennifer Potter, Monica Romero and Michael (Deanna) Potter, all of Mesquite, NV; 10 grandchildren: Tony (Lacy) Heath; Toby (Stevie) Heath; Boady Heath; Riley (Bailin) Smith; Micah Saunders; Marcus Saunders; Mason Toliver; Camryn Totten; Jhett DeLano; Riann Potter; three brothers and one sister: Jimmie (Angie) of Scenic, AZ; Tonya (Merlin) Bigelow of Mesquite, NV; Kelby (Alyson) of Scenic, AZ and Lyle (Sarah) of Mesquite, NV.
