Lawrence Roy Bond

September 5, 1927 — January 10, 2016

Lawrence Roy Bond, 88, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2016 in Mesquite, NV. Larry was born September 5, 1927 in Urie, WY to Wallace and Marjorie (Godfrey) Bond. He married his dear wife, Juanita J. Kelly on June 16, 1952 in Green River, WY.

Larry was always a hard worker. After serving in the United States Air Force in WW2, he moved back to Robertson, WY where he became a rancher for many years. He also worked side by side with his wife, Nita, at the Robertson Store and Post Office for 17 years. Before retiring in 1985, Larry worked as a miner at the FMC Mine. He always made time to be in the outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, boating, or even looking for rare rocks in the area, Larry would do it if it was outside. Larry's first priority was always his family. He would spend every possible moment with his wife, six sons, and many grand children. He went on special trips with many of them up to Alaska, taught them all how to square dance, and followed and supported them in their sports and other endeavors. His sons always trusted him with their problems because of his loving calmness that he held in every situation.

Larry is survived by his wife, Nita J. Bond, his children; Chuck (Debbie) Bond, Kelly (Robin) Bond, James (Carol) Bond, Don (Melody) Bond, Ken (Grace) Bond, Scott (Tina) Bond; his 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and his sister Helen Walker. He is preceded in death by his parents; Wallace and Marjorie Bond, and his sister, Jean Powell.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 11:00 am at the St. Helen's Catholic Church in Fort Bridger, WY.
