Larry "Mike" Rose, age 74, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born May 19, 1939 In Lawton, Oklahoma, to Larry and Phyllis (Adair) Rose. He is survived by his wife Mary of 51 years, son Travis, daughter-in-law Silke, grandchildren Risha and Michael-River, his mother Phyllis, his brothers Billy and wife Joni, and Jim and partner Lynn, and nieces Felicia and Violet.
Mike was blessed with humility, a heart-warming smile, and an infectious sense of humor. A gifted artist, he possessed an extraordinary ability to transform discarded and ordinary objects into pieces at once sublime and whimsical. Everything he put his hands to has the brand of his unique character and style.
Mike was a true lover of life, a friend to all who knew him, and a bringer of joy. A dear man whose life has made this world a little brighter, happier, and more wonderful. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at a future date in Mesquite, NV.
