Larry Reber Larry Reber, 83, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2012, surrounded by family at his home in Bunkerville, NV. He was born November 28, 1928 In Bunkerville, NV, to Louis Rumell and Velma Leila Waite. He married his high school sweetheart, Colleen Wittwer, May 23, 1947 in the St. George Temple. They had just celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Larry was raised in Littlefield, Arizona. His mother died giving birth to a younger brother when Larry was 2, so he was spoiled by a loving grandmother and many aunts. His early school years were spent in Littlefield, and he graduated from Virgin Valley High School in 1946. He worked for the Clark County Road Department and drove truck for the construction companies in Mesquite. He raised his family in Las Vegas, NV, and moved to Bunkerville in 1969. He was active in the L.D.S. Church and served in many callings including Bishop of the Bunkerville Ward, and was Stake Clerk for 20 years, serving under 5 Stake Presidents in 3 different Stakes, Logandale Nevada Stake, Bloomington Utah Stake, and the Mesquite Nevada Stake. He loved serving others and loved spending time with family and loved ones. He is survived by his wife, Colleen, sons, Larry Dean of Bunkerville, NV, and Dennis (Betty) of Glendora, CA; daughters, Velma (Johnny) Leavitt, and Teresa (Gary) Woods both of Bunkerville, NV. Dad also has 26 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. Sisters, Jean and Kelley of Mesquite, Lois Roweder of Las Vegas, Carol (Bill) Deta of Las Vegas and Brenda (Cecil) Hardin of Overton NV. Brothers, Jay, Brent (Teri) of Littlefield AZ and Don (Diane) Las Vegas NV. He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Velma, step mother Lorna, brothers, Rumell, Gerald, Max, and unnamed baby brother, his son, Gregory L., a daughter, Lori Ann and a great -grandson Treyson Lake Chidester. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 11:00 am in the Bunkerville Chapel. Viewing will be Friday, June 1, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm and prior to the service Saturday morning from 9:00 - 10:30 am. Interment will be in the Bunkerville Cemetery under the direction of Virgin Valley Mortuary, 702-346-6060 family and friends are invited to sign the online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
