Larry Dean Manfull, age 76, of North Las Vegas, Nevada formerly of Traer, Iowa, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at his home in North Las Vegas, NV.

Larry was born January 2, 1941 in Waterloo, Iowa to Ivan Leo and Marjorie Belle Kanipe Manfull. He graduated from Traer High School in 1959, attended Coe College, and received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Wayne State University in Wayne, Nebraska.

Larry was a college football coach. He coached some high school football and started coaching football at the university level in 1968. He coached football at universities in Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and California.

He was always grateful to have coached teams that won many conference championships, bowl games and one national championship team. Larry coached 14 offensive linemen that played in the NFL. He published several football articles in the American Football Coaches Association publications. Larry concluded his college football coaching career by being inducted into the Football Hall of Fame at the University of North Dakota in 2003.

Larry loved to be outdoors, whether it be fishing, hunting, or golfing. He was also an avid reader of World War II history.

He is survived by his two sons; Bryan of Woodland Hills, California and David (Charlene) of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan and Marjorie.
