Larry Gonzales, 72, went home to his Heavenly Father on June 30, 2021 in Overton, NV, surrounded by his family. Larry was a true man of God, his goodness overflowed. He worked hard and played harder. He lived life with joy and a peace of mind. Larry’s legacy truly is his family, extended family and close friends he called family; all who he loved unconditionally. His blessings were our blessings. The strangers he met, became friends instantly because Larry loved with his whole being. When he entered a room his beautiful smile and soft voice touched everyone. Larry was never too busy to lend a hand or listen. He lived his life to the fullest and never hesitated to talk to anyone about Jesus. Larry loved to travel and was always ready for an adventure! He loved Overton, Nevada, Alaska and especially being the captain of the Dee Dee Kae in Valdez. His ashes will be spread in his favorite place, the Prince William Sound, at a later time.
Larry leaves the love of his life, Jeanne Gonzales, his wife of 35 years. His mother Dolores Gonzales; daughter Dee Dee Kae Keyser (Pat); son’s, Gordie Winburn (JD) and Wayne Winburn (Teri) and godson, Robbie Gonzales; grandchildren: Patrick, Brittany and Tristan Keyser, Niki Winburn, Kasandra Tarango (Josh), Kristina Winburn (Tim), Natalie Winburn and Sabrina Yarsley (Jonathan) and 11 great grandchildren; siblings: Lorraine Vasquez (Roy), James Gonzales, Brandon Trask, and Robert Gonzales (Mary) and many nieces and nephews who love him and hundreds of friends worldwide. He is preceded in death by his father Amadeo Gonzales in 2019.
