Larry Lee Brown, age 54, died suddenly, Friday, February 24, 2017 at his home in Moapa, Nevada. He was born August 4, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Steve Brown Jr. and Maxine Bow.
Larry grew up in Moapa. He attended Moapa Valley High School and later Stewart Indian School in Carson City. He later moved back to the Rez in Moapa where he worked for many years at the Paiute Tribal Plaza. He was a good employee and was well liked by the other employees. He loved monster trucks, high desert off road racing and time with friends. He was proud to sponsor Jordan Talbot in her barrel racing. He will be remembered for being a good friend and as a kind, fun uncle and brother.
Survivors include three brothers and two sisters: Eric (Lahoma) Lee of Moapa; Monique Etsitty of Moapa; E Lance Etsitty of Las Vegas; Danielle Nickrand of Moapa and Thomas (Lisa) Etsitty of Las Vegas; step-father Kenneth Etsitty of Moapa. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Timothy Bow and Shawn Bow and one sister, Yolanda Burgard.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at the Moapa Tribal Building. A visitation will be held from 2 -3 p.m. prior to services. The services will be followed by a Traditional Indian Sing with Interment at dawn in the Moapa Indian Cemetery.
