Mesquite, NV - Larry Biggs, 91, died peacefully at home on Friday, November 3, surrounded by family, after a short illness.
Larry left home as a young boy of fourteen to get a bicycle and work for Western Union, delivering messages. He then became a truck driver for the next 40 years. He moved to Alaska and was an original “Ice Road Trucker” while owning his own trucking company, 4 Star Trucking, which later became Lone Star Trucking. He was a member of the teamster Local 959 Union.
Larry is survived by his significant other of 15 years, Shirley Smith, of Mesquite, NV; daughters, Candace Williams, (Kelly), Gayla Clark, (Kenneth Hussong); nine grandchildren; Gabe Vaughn, Alyshia Martin, Haley Skerrett, Kirsten Russell, Eric Biggs, Michael Shane Alls, Bill Parker, Ryan Parker and Meredith Parker; and twelve great grandchildren.
Larry is preceded in death by his son, Sonny Biggs Alls, and daughter, Tina Parker.
