Kevin Thomas Chilson-Moyers, 27, passed away on March 31, 2017 at the Ocean Beach Pier in San Diego, CA. He was born July 20, 1989 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Sheila Renee Moyers and Jeffrey Thomas Chilson.
As a young boy, Kevin’s family moved to Mesquite, NV. He attended J.L. Bowler Elementary School, Hughes Middle School, and later graduated from Virgin Valley High School. He loved playing basketball for the bulldogs. He continued his education at the College of Southern Nevada and later at Mira Mesa College where he earned an Associate’s Degree of Applied Science of Aviation and had his private pilot’s license. Kevin was a hard worker, and enjoyed working in the food industry. He worked at Pizza Hut, Bella Pizza, and Smith and Lawynski’s Steak House, as well as Las Vegas Parking.
Kevin loved to travel as much as he could, and he would go snowboarding and skiing. He enjoyed being active. He enjoyed working out PX90 and would play basketball as often as he could. He loved music and enjoyed attending concerts to be with the crowd. He collected coins, cards, and all sorts of sports memorabilia. Kevin loved God, and was raised Catholic.

He.loved his family, his friends, and his girlfriend, Samara Malczewski. Kevin has a special place in my heart and I was blessed to have him as my son, and I am very disappointed that he is gone."

Kevin is survived by his parents; Jeffrey Thomas Chilson and Sheila Renee Moyers; his step-father, Howard Ackerman; sister Alyssa Jewel Edwards; his grandparents, Jewel Moyers, Sharon Palorimo, Luther Moyers, Phil Rodgerson and Lloyd Chilson and many other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, Nevada.
