Kenton "Sam" Lee, age 61, died at his home in Moapa, Nevada on Thursday, November 22, 2018. He was born November 19, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Clyde Vernon and Juanita Weed Lee. He was married to Deborah Inez Campbell. They had four children and were later divorced. He and Deanna Domingo were together for more than 10 years.
Sam grew up in Death Valley until as a teenager he moved to Moapa, Nevada where he lived the rest of his life. He worked at the Reid Gardner Power Plant and later on the "Rez" in the green house and for the tribal building. He enjoyed playing darts, horseshoes, target shooting and hunting.
Survivors include son, Daniel Campbell Lee of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters: Jacque and Samantha Lee both of Moapa, NV; 12 grandchildren; brother, Vernon (Erica) Lee of Moapa, NV; four sisters: Gloria (Donald) Shearer of Caliente, NV; Marie Wilson of Pahrump, NV; Delores Simmons and Jody Lee of Moapa, NV. He was preceded in death by one son, Marcus Lee, five brothers and two sisters.
A visitation and Traditional Indian Sing will begin Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 4 p.m. at the Moapa Tribal Building. Interment will follow Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at the Chief Tecopa Cemetery in Pahrump, Nevada.
