Kenneth Vern Wilson

Kenneth Vern Wilson, age 83, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born February 15, 1932 in Rifle, Colorado to Lester V and Grace Lillian Armitage Wilson. On March 28, 2000 he married Rozella Carmella Parmenter Madaris in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Kenneth lived most of his life in Montrose, Colorado and he spent the winters in Overton later in life. He worked as a fireman for the city of Montrose, and later as a heavy equipment operator. He was also a business man, operating Wilson Refuse and other businesses. He loved to work and play.

During his life he became a private pilot and loved to fly his small plane. He enjoyed traveling inside and outside of the country. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and taking the four wheelers up the steepest trails..

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Rozella; one daughter, Kenadean (David) Burris of Olathe, CO; one son, Hody (Carol Ciavonne) Wilson of Santa Rosa, CA and many step Children and Grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Robbin's Nest Park. Bring a dish, if you like, Robbin's Nest will graciously provide meat and drinks. On Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 2 p.m. a memorial service will be held at 15977 - 6100 Road, Montrose, Colorado.
