Kelsy Nicole Carson

Kelsy Nicole Carson, age 35, passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born February 14, 1980 in St. George, Utah to Lynn Leo and Eileen Scott Schmutz. On May 1, 1999 she married James Anthony "Tony" Carson in Mesquite, Nevada. On November 1, 2003 they were sealed in the St. George LDS Temple.

Kelsy lived most of her life in Overton, Nevada. She graduated from Moapa Valley High School. She lived for three years in Salt Lake City and for the last two years in Henderson. She enjoyed singing and was a very talented artist. She was always joyful, vibrant and could make everyone around her happy.

Survivors include her husband Tony; two sons and two daughters: Vance, Savanna, Makayla and Matthew all of Las Vegas, NV; father, Lynn (Debbie) Schmutz of St. George, UT; two brothers, Wade of Las Vegas, NV; Wes (Roxanne) of St. George, UT; step siblings: Nate Porter, Luke Porter, Amy (Jeremy) Roberts, Jarred Porter and Jason Porter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Logandale LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Monday, May 4, 2015 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary and again Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
