Keith Marchbanks

Keith L. Marchbanks, age 65, passed away peacefully at his home in Mesquite, Nevada on Wednesday, October 22, 2014. He was born January 19, 1949 in Montrose, Colorado to Hubert Charles and Beulahmae Winters Marchbanks. On June 19, 1971 he married Ruth Ann Zent in Elkhart, Indiana.

Keith grew up in Eureka, Montana where he graduated from L.C.H.S. in 1967. To fulfill his dream of becoming a pilot, Keith joined the Army in 1968. He served as a helicopter pilot in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his release, he worked for Bell Helicopter from 1973 to 1977, after which he received his Undergraduate Degree in Accounting. He then re enlisted in the US Navy where he had a distinguished career while earning his Master’s Degree in Defense Finance. While in the Navy, he lived many places in the US, Italy and Kuwait. He finally retired to Mesquite, Nevada in 2003.

Keith had a great love for live and especially loved to spend time with his wife and daughters. He enjoyed golf and always had a passion for radio control planes.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth of Mesquite, NV; two daughters: Stephanie (Michael) Loria of Conway, MI; Katie (Eric) Beckman of Bay City, MI and one brother, Bert (Maralene) Marchbanks of Eureka, MT. He was preceded in death by one dauther, Renee and one brother, Garland.

A Military Memorial Service will be held at a later date in the Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka, MT.
