Kathryn Jean Ormesher

Kathryn Jean Farner Ormesher, 74, passed away on Monday, November 7, 2016, at her home. She was born on January 10, 1942, in Norfolk, Nebraska to Doctor John E. Farner and Helen Priscilla Harman Farner.

Kathie is survived by many who loved her well. Her sons, John Bradley Ormesher and James Ryan Ormesher reside in the Austin, TX area. Brad is married to Jennifer Holmes Ormesher, they have two sons, James Harrison Ormesher and John Mitchell Ormesher. Ryan and Melissa McDaniel have a son, Skyler Adam McDaniel. Kathie is also survived by the father of her children, James Russell Ormesher.

Kathie is survived by her sister Mary Lou Farner Byrd and her children, James Chadwick Byrd, Jodi Ann Byrd and John Matthew Byrd.

Kathie loved to take care of others and travel. She was a German major in college and taught for a short time at Garland High School, Garland, TX. She was also very active in Eastern Star, P.E.O. and the Law Wives Club at SMU. Kathie traveled the world, making it to six of seven continents. These were her favorite adventures, which she shared with her sister and father.

Kathie's family will celebrate her life in a small, intimate gathering on Saturday, November 12, 2016. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local Toys for Tots, Blue Santa or Brown Santa.
