Kathleen Fly

Kathleen Elnora Fly, age 92, died Sunday, December 21, 2014 at her daughter's home in Overton, Nevada, surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 23, 1922 to Edward and Edna Francis Stephens Guthrie. On January 24, 1942 she married Gilbert Calvin Fly in Yuma, Arizona. He preceded her in death on December 24, 1992.

Kathleen lived most of her early life in Southern California. She moved to Logandale, Nevada in 1977 with her family. Her life was centered around family, caring for her three sons, daughter and her husband. Their home was always busy and active with friends and family. To most, she was known as "Ma Fly". She loved to go dancing with Gibby. Later she enjoyed scrapbooking. She was an avid LA Lakers fan and watched them play as often as possible. She will be remembered for her sass, her hospitality and her love of family.

Survivors include sons, Gary of Belmont, NV; Greg (Susie) of Logandale, NV; Gordon (Patty) of Las Vegas, NV; daughter, Debbie (Peter) Geng of Overton, NV; Karen (Tom) Brady of Moapa, NV; nine grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; three great grandchildren and two brothers, Jack (Brenda) Kaylor of Susanville, CA and Tom of Sandy Valley, NV.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.
