Karen Ann Sodeman

Karen Sodeman, 44, passed away June 5, 2015 at her home in Mesquite, NV. She was born September 5, 1970 in Bellflower, CA to Larry Warren Sodeman and Barbara Janice Goodwin.

Karen spent her childhood in Bellflower, CA until she moved to Bullhead, AZ. She graduated from high school in Bullhead and attended Devry University for her Associate's Degree. In 1994, Karen moved to Mesquite, NV where she began working for the United States Postal Service as a Rural Carrier. She was always concerned with the benefits of her co-workers and worked with the Union to ensure the benefits of others. In her spare time she enjoyed being out in the water scuba diving. She also enjoyed spending time with her stepfather Doug Shilling hunting outdoors. Among other things, she loved to travel, ski, and taking care of animals. Karen was always looking outwards, spending much of her time caring for the needs of others.

Karen is survived by; her mother and stepfather, Barbara and Doug Shilling, Apple Valley, CA; her father, Larry Sodeman, Yucca Valley, CA; her Aunt Barbara Sodeman Noble; and her Aunt Nancy Zanfardino, along with many other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
