June LaRae Constantino, 87, passed away on May 16, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV. June was born on May 25, 1936 in Kanesville, UT to Samuel Young Fletcher and Leona Dorthea Mayberry. June was raised on a farm in Kanesville playing with her siblings and her many cousins. At the age of eleven, her family moved to Mesa, AZ, and she later graduated form Mesa High School in 1954. She loved reading and singing, and was a member of the FHA and the Capella group. She loved seminary and the many dances they held.
She attended the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing, and was accepted in the first Baccalaureate class for Nursing at the college. She had many wonderful new experiences, learned of many new cultures, and even tried pizza for the first time. She moved to Las Vegas, NV and worked as a nurse at Sunrise Hospital. She met Angelo Michael Constantino, and after dating for a while, they were married in Las Vegas, NV on March 9, 1963. They had two children, Tom and Ann, and they enjoyed their many trips to Disneyland and to watch the Angels play. They were sealed as a family in the Las Vegas, NV Temple on April 9, 1994. June was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints her whole life, and served in many capacities. She was honored by the March of Dimes as the Community Health Nurse of the Year in 1988. She worked for over thirty-four years with the Clark County Health District, most often as their only communicable disease specialist. June was a loving woman, who loved her family.
June is survived by her children, Tom (Donna) Constantino and Ann (Benjamin) Johnson; her seven grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; and her siblings Grant Fletcher and Ruth Allen. She is preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Constantino; and her parents, Samuel and Leona Fletcher.
