Juanita "Nita" Tom

A wonderful wife and mother, Juanita "Nita" Lee Tom a long-time resident of the Moapa and Virgin Valley areas died Saturday, October 15, 2016 in Beaver Dam, Arizona. She was born March 2, 1959 in the Overton hospital, known as the "Virmoa" Maternity Hospital, to Keith Allen Nay and Marilyn Maudeen Nay. She was a women of many talents. She worked full-time in Mesquite to support her family's ranching habit. She was a helpful ranch girl for over 40 years and enjoyed teaching all those around her. She loved to sew. She sewed her children's clothes while they were growing up at the Nay Ranch. She loved to bake and cook. She made the best bread and squash pies. She loved her animals and her gardens and shared all of her bounties with her neighbors and friends. Nita was married to her sweetheart, Norm Tom on August 20, 1977 in the St. George LDS Temple for time and all eternity. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She has endured till the end and has shown her family how to be stubbornly strong. Nita is survived by her husband, Norm Tom and by her children: Jared "Biggen" Tom of Beaver Dam, AZ and Lukas "Shorty" (Lacey) Tom of Overton, NV; two grandsons Rylan and Grayson Tom of Overton; brother Cal (Denise) Nay of Ephraim, Utah; mother Marilyn (Orville) Cattoor of Nay Ranch, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Littlefield LDS Chapel with a visitation service 9:30-10:30 am prior to the funeral.
