Juanita Fern Reed

Juanita Fern Reed, age 76, of Mesquite, Nevada passed away November 17, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a battle with cancer. Juanita was born August 12, 1933 in Palestine, Illinois to Russell and Edith Higgins Ridgeway.
Juanita graduated high school from Maroa High School. She married James Harold Reed in Maroa, Illinois on June 3, 1951. Together they moved to Anaheim, California where they raised their family. Juanita was very involved with her sons' sports. She loved to watch them play and even was part of the Little League Organization. She work for the Convention Center in Anaheim but was most proud to be a mother. In 1996 they retired and moved to Mesquite, Nevada and have called it home since.
Juanita is survived by her husband James Reed of Mesquite, Nevada; mother Edith Higgins of Mesquite, Nevada; two sons Jim (Margarita) Reed of Fallbrook, California, John (Rebecca) Reed of St. George, Utah; four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Ridgeway.
