Joyce Ann (Kincel) Christian

Joyce Ann Christian, age 83, died Sunday, March 13, 2022 at her home in Mesquite, Nevada.  She was born August 25, 1938 in Astoria, New York to Emil Francis Kincel and Elizabeth Rita Ross Kincel.  On February 13, 1959 she married Roland “Bud” C. Christian in the St. Andrews RC Church in Flushing, New York.  He preceded her in death on April 17, 2016.
Joyce grew up in Flushing.  After she married Bud, they moved to Colorado near his family.  They raised their family in Grand Junction and Sterling, Colorado where she worked in education, first as a secretary and later as a computer programmer.  Joyce got her Associates Bachelor Degree while working full time and raising a family. She was a talented soprano singer and was very artistic.   Joyce was an avid reader, enjoyed researching family ancestry and loved going to casinos with Bud.
Survivors include her daughter, Kathleen (Thomas Roth) Christian of Mesquite, NV; step-granddaughter, Katie (Jim Bailey) Roth; step-grandson, Cole Roth; step-great grandson Kaleb Roth and one sister, Laura (Ed Conner) Kincel Conner of Odessa, WA..  She was preceded in death by one daughter, Sheryl Ann and her brother, Emil  Jr.(Butch) Kincel.
