Joy Susan Fowers, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at home Monday, February 7, 2022 in Mesquite, Nevada surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 22, 1948 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Dan Lewis and Renza Myers Conger. On June 5, 1971 she married Robert “Bob” John Williams in Upland, California. Together they raised five children in Southern California and Northern Idaho. On August 1, 2012 she married her sweetheart David Clarence Fowers Jr. In Orem, Utah.
Joy was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and found great happiness in serving in her callings and building relationships of trust and friendship. She loved being a mother and homemaker. She taught by example and hard work. Through life’s ups and downs, she cherished her testimony, and devotion to the gospel of Jesus Christ. She was an example of strength and perseverance through hard things. She was a talented pianist, artist, and seamstress. Her kids grew up in a home filled with all kinds of music, handicrafts, cooking, and love. She taught her kids the importance of family, and knowing your family history. She did the genealogy and temple work for hundreds of ancestors of hers, her spouses, and many friends. We are sure many of those ancestors greeted her on the other side of the veil with open arms. She will be remembered for her loyalty, kindness and as a cherished friend.
