Joseph Millette Sherwood

Joseph Millette Sherwood, husband, father, brother, and friend passed away holding the love of his life’s hand on May 17, 2021 after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Joseph was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 24, 1948 to Joseph Miller Sherwood and Dorothy Margaret Millette. He enjoyed growing up in Salt Lake where he learned to love the adventures of his beautiful surroundings.

Joe found his home in Mesquite, Nevada twenty years ago. He lived life to the fullest and never missed a chance for adventure. He never expected to grow old and filled every day doing things he loved. His passions included golf, skydiving, racing, and hunting. But, what filled his life more than anything was being a faithful husband to his wife, Marsha of 38 years, as well as a loving father and grandfather. Joe had a heart full of love and never missed a chance to make someone laugh with his quick wit. He truly did it all and owned every second that this life had to give. He left behind a mountain of friends and family that he loved fiercely. If you could take anything from his life, it would be to do what makes you happy.

A small celebration of like will be held Monday, May24, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. for family and close friends at 8961 S 2070 W, Jordan, Utah. Graveside services will be held at the Salt Lake City Cemetery at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
