He married Charlotte Havens on October 4, 1997 and later divorced on April 11, 2001.  Together they had one daughter, Andriea Guerrero.  Joseph had a commitment ceremony to Amber Jarrell on January 2, 2021.  The couple later parted amicably and remained close friends.

He is survived by his sister’s, Cassondra Hughes “Cassy”, aka as his “sissy”, and Saving Grace; brother-in-law, Robert Little of Henderson, NV; Shawnanna (Starr) Flores-Guerrero, aka “mother hen”; brother-in-law, David Pitts of Mesquite, NV; niece and nephews, Jose Mercardo, TJ Guerrero, Rigo Quintero, Jaden Flores, Antonio Guerrero, and his most beloved “princess”, Faith.  He also leaves behind his daughter, Andriea Guerrero-Mounts; son-in-law, Devin; and  his two grandson’s, Gio and Bentlii of Ohio.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Charlotte Shaner; grandparents, Arthur and Lucina Shaner; nephew, Emmanuel Austin Mercado.  Joseph now joins an army of angels including many of his beloved cousins who were more like siblings to him; aunts and uncles including, Eugene “Rusty” Shaner.
