Joseph Anthony Iovino

Joe was born October 19, 1933 in Brooklyn NY and passed away November 29, 2020 in Mesquite, NV.  His mother; LillianLaboria Lisi, was born January 18, 1907 in Sicily, Italy and she passed away in 1985, San Jose, California.  His Father; Frank Gilberto Iovino was born in 1905, Florence, Italy and he passed away in 1968 in California.

Joe attended grade and high school in Brooklyn, New York.  He joined the National Guard and when the Korean War broke out he joined the Army, then enlisted in the Air Force and had basic training at Camp Drum.  He was stationed at Frances E. Warren Air Force Base in Cheyenne, Wyoming and Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tuscan, Arizona. Joe married and had two children, a son; Chris, born in 1957 (deceased) and daughter; Cindy, born in 1958.  He met and married his second wife and helped raise her son; Lane Kay and daughter; Marla Kay.  Both are married and have children and grandchildren.  In 1977, he married Carol Edge and helped raise her four children; Cindy Munk, (deceased), Daniel Munk, Todd Munk and John Munk.  He reconnected with two daughters; Gina (Tony) Williams and Lori (Allen) Anderson and their families, making a blended family with grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Joe loved his life as an artist, singer-entertainer, baseball, golf, boating and traveling.  He and his wife have wintered in Beaver Dam Retirement Community since 1993.

He is preceded in death by his sister; Mary P. Iovino-Day.  She was born February 11, 1935 and passed away April 27, 1986.  Mary and her husband, Robert Day have four children; Terrie, Michael, Lori and Steven.
