Joseph Douglas Bishop

Joseph D. Bishop Sr., age 72, passed away September 28, 2010 in St. George, UT. Joe was born January 4, 1938 in Las Vegas, NV to Richard and Lois Ward Bishop.
Joe served his country for more than twenty years during war time in the Navy and then went on to be a part of changing the face of Las Vegas and the construction industry. Joe retired as a Teamster member. He enjoyed the peacefulness of the desert and the remote solitude that the Moapa Valley offered.
Survivors include his sister, Sharee Nichols of Overton, NV; son, Joe (Tammy) Bishop of Fallbrook, CA; daughter, Maria Persons of Tucson, AZ; 6 grandchildren, Jordan, Jamison, Brooke, Briana, Bethany and Bella. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Lois Bishop; wife, Patricia Bishop; and brother in law, "Tony" Nichols.
A small private service will be held to celebrate Joe's life.
