Johnnie Herbert Kendall, age 54, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020 in Joplin, Montana.
Johnnie was born January 24, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada to John Wesley Kendall and Judith Ann Willey Kendall. He was married to Beth Allen Kendall on June 15, 1996 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Johnnie grew up in Overton, Nevada and graduated from Moapa Valley High School. He joined the Air Force shortly after graduation and was transferred to Arizona where he met Beth and was married. While in the Air Force he traveled all over the world and studying air transportation obtaining a degree in metallurgy. He worked as a machinist and served all over the world keeping planes in the air. He retired as a Master Sergeant and took up wood working. He continued to work on the airbase helping others learn woodworking and anything else they wanted to learn. He then moved to Montana where he taught woodworking at a high school on a local Native American Reservation. He enjoyed target shooting, working on cars and telling stories with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Beth of Joplin, MT; mother, Judy of Overton, NV, one son and one daughter: Johnathan (Chloe) Kendall of Avondale, AZ; Kirstie Kendall of Phoenix, AZ; I Grandchild Ava Grace Kendall; 2 brothers and 4 sisters, Chris (JoAnn) Harris of LaPalma, CA; Colleen (John) Leithead of Charleston, WV; Jeff (Sharon) of St George, UT; Mary Jane (Mel) Shockley of Blue Eye, MO; Carolyn (Scott) Laning of Carney’s Point, NJ; Jorine (William) Washam of Puyallup, WA; and many nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Overton, Nevada.
