John Leroy Hall

November 19, 1936 — September 26, 2014

John LeRoy Hall, age 77, passed away September 26, 2014, in Bunkerville, Nevada. He was born November 19, 1936 to Calvert and Louisa May Kennison Hall in Santa Maria, CA. He married Barbara Lee Morgan on August 9, 1969 in San Fernando, CA. John grew up in California. They raised their family in the San Fernando Valley where he worked as a brick mason. In 1980 they moved to Bunkerville, NV where he drove a school bus for the Clark County School District. He enjoyed owning the Polar Freeze in Mesquite, especially the interaction with the young people he was able to employ. He was a volunteer for the Bunkerville Fire and Rescue. He loved the outdoors, riding his motorcycle, racing, camping and later riding his Razor. He will be remembered as a kind, loving and energetic man. Survivors include his wife, Barbara of Bunkerville, NV; three sons and three daughters: Debra (Terry) Elliott of Cherry Valley, CA; Ronald (Carrie) Anderson of Simi Valley, CA; Leland of ME; Laurie (Joaquim) Elert of Mentone, CA; William (Joanne) Anderson; Deborah (Warren) Bell both of Bunkerville, NV; 20 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Betty Lefew of Grass Valley, CA and one brother, Jimmy Ryan of Colorado Springs, CO. He was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby; his parents, one grandson and one great grandson. Funeral services will be Friday, October 3, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Bunkerville LDS Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, October 2, 2014 from 6 - 8 p.m. and again from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. both at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Bunkerville Cemetery.
