John L. Grassmeier

John Lee Grassmeier, age 74, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada after a long fight with cancer. He was born December 7, 1938 in Nevada, Iowa to William "Bill" Albert and Julia Ann Vaux Grassmeier. John resided in Boulder City, Nevada where he attended high school and was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge 1682. He was a proud member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 525, where he served in a variety of positions overt the years. He served as Local President and on the Health and Welfare committee for over 40 years. He also enjoyed working his mining claims. He is survived by one brother, Bill Grassmeier of Logandale, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shirley Beth Baird. John will be greatly missed. Private Memorial services will be held.
