Joe Benny Fisher, 58, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009 in St. George, Utah from liver cancer caused by hepatitis B. He was born March 10, 1951 in Huntsville, Alabama to William Leon and Ophelia Hill Fisher. On December 19, 1992 Joe married Mary Anna Stricklin in Waxahachie, Texas.

Joe moved to Mesquite from Dallas, Texas in 2001 and has loved being next to the mountains. He served in the Army in the early 1970's. He enjoyed going to the Stateline Casino to be with all of his friends. He loved his dogs Tootsie and Sophie. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife Mary whether it was just at home or traveling around the country.

He is survived by his wife Mary Fisher; two sons, Jerry (Angel) Fisher of Moultrie, Georgia and Terry (Brandi) Fisher of Moultrie, Georgia; one stepson Steve Mann of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter- in- law Misty Williams; his father William Leon Fisher of Kansas City, Missouri; one brother Willard Fisher; four sisters: Nancy Lee, Debra Taylor, Karen Brown, and Margie Blaine; one sister- in- law Suzie Stricklin; six grandchildren: Trecina, Anna, Shaylin, Mercedes, Amber, and T.J. Father and Mother-in-law William and Phyllis Stricklin; Preceded in death are one son Randy Fisher; his mother Ophelia Janese Fisher; and two brothers Wayne and Travis Fisher.

Memorial Services will be held on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Stateline Casino in Mesquite, NV.
