Joanne Barney Ruffner Juergens

Joanne Marie Barney Ruffner Juergens, age 80, of Watseka, Illinois passed away Tuesday August 9, 2016 at her home in Mesquite, NV. She was born December 11, 1935 to William and Juliette (Jo) Nourie Barney. Shortly after graduating from Watseka Community High School, Joanne married Thomas Ruffner who preceded her in death. She later married John Juergens on August 14, 1970 in Wateska, IL. Joanne had a great love for her family. One of her greatest joy in life was her dogs and playing Bingo. She was a member of the LaVirgen De Guadelupe Catholic Church. Joanne is survived by her husband John of Mesquite, NV, children Carol (Tom) Dutcher of Long Beach, CA; Janice (James) Memmott of Mesquite, NV; Thomas (Rebecca) Ruffner of Leesburg, FL; Robert Ruffner of Bend, OR; John (Colleen) Juergens of Milford, IL; Tami (Stephen) Walrabenstein of Woodbridge, VA. 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Brother Don; brother-in-law Richard; sister-in-law Kathy, and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Juliette Nourie Barney; brother William; sisters-in law Shirley and Linda. She will be cremated with a funeral Mass to be held Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Blais officiating.
