Joan Grant

Joan Grant, age 78, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born February 8, 1937 in Rigby, Idaho to Edwin LeRoy "Ted" and Nina Virginia Frederiksen Goody. On May 14, 1958 she married Richard Longhurst Grant in Lewisville, Idaho. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2015.
Joan grew up in Lewisville, Idaho. The promise of good jobs brought their small family to Las Vegas in 1964. Always active and energetic, Joan enjoyed softball, attending kids and grandkids sporting events, and Wednesday Morning Bowling League. She was a hard worker, generous with her time and skilled as a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Gerald (Darlene); one daughter, Linda (Darren) Bay both of Las Vegas, NV; four grandchildren and one sister, Marjorie Walker of Lewisville, ID. One brother, Lorin preceded her in death.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Meadows 4th Ward Chapel, 3200 Mustang Street, Las Vegas, NV. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow at 2:30 p.m. at the Logandale Cemetery.
