JESUS GOMEZ-LARA

Jesus Gomez-Lara, 63, died November 22, 2011 at his home in Mesquite, NV. He was born January 06, 1948 in Juchipila Zacatecas, Mexico to Paulino and Maria de Jesus Lara-Gomez. He met the love of his life, Maria de la luz Gomez and were married May, 22, 1974 in Juchipila Zacatecas, Mexico. They relocated to Mesquite, NV in 2000.

Jesus was a very hard worker, it was hard work raising cattle on his ranch in Mexico. He loved horses. Jesus loved his family, he was very close with his brothers and sisters, he cherished his children and grandchildren. He loved Maria with all his heart. Jesus enjoyed his time spent with his best friend Thomas Taylor, he loved to off road in the mountains with Taylor in his Jeep.

Jesus is survived by his wife, Maria, one son, Paulino (Maila Likua) Gomez and three daughters, Asusena (Miguel) Hernandez, Andriana (Jaime) Perez and Azalia (Marco) Jimenez, all of Mesquite, NV. He leaves behind three brothers, Ismael (Josefina) Gomez of Modesto, CA; Francisco Gomez of Whittier, CA; and Hipolito (Lula) Gomez, residing in Mexico, and three sisters, Luz Gomez of Whittier, CA; Consuelo (Antonio) Beltran residing in Mexico, and Guadalupe Robles of Whittier, CA. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren.

Jesus is preceded in death by one son, Jesus Gomez, one brother, Paulino Gomez and his parents.

Services will be held at La Virgen De Guadalupe Catholic Church on Friday, November 25, 2011. The visitation at 5:00 p.m. followed by a rosary at 6:00 p.m. and funeral mass at 6:30 p.m.
