Jerry Franklin Renfrow

September 28, 1921 — July 30, 2008

Jerry Franklin Renfrow, age 86, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 in his home in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born September 28, 1921 in Gooding, Idaho to Jerry Franklin and Lula Wharton Renfrow. On September 4, 1947 he married Marjorie Mock in Wendell, Idaho.

Jerry moved to Mesquite in April of 2005 from Buhl, Idaho where he lived for 35 years. Jerry also spent 20 years living in Dayton, Washington before moving to Buhl. He spent 34 years with the Green Giant Company in Buhl, Dayton, and France. Jerry enjoyed his years as a snowbird in Desert Hot Springs, California. He is a veteran of World War II serving on the USS Hornet. He graduated with a bachelors degree in agriculture from the University of Idaho. Jerry loved the outdoors whether he was fishing, hunting camping or gardening. He was a member of Mesquite United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife Marjorie Renfrow; one daughter and two sons, Pamela (Tom) Gillick of Mesquite, Nevada; Douglas (Dawn) Renfrow of Nampa, Idaho; Phillip (Breen) Renfrow of Shoreline, Washington; one brother, Lonnie Renfrow of Yuba City, California; six grandchildren, April, Autumn, Emily, Adam, Reed, and Kyla; and two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Felix.
