Jeanae Gibson

February 25, 1963 — April 19, 2024

Las Vegas, NV

Jeanae Gibson, 61, passed away on April 19, 2024 in Las Vegas, NV. She was born on February 25, 1963 in Richmond, CA to Monte Sobrero and Ferol Gibson.

She grew up in El Sobrante, Ca.

Attended Pinole Valley High School Attended/Graduated from BYU Hawaii and George Washington University with a degree in Education. Jeanae, like her mother Ferol, loved to teach and was very good at it. One of her favorite teaching situations was with her English as a second language students. She was a beloved teacher to both student and parent alike. Jeanae split her career between school districts in both Northern/Southern California and Southern Nevada.

Jeanae was an avid collector of eccentric knick-knacks, animals, friends, and stories. She loved going to yard sales and thrift stores to find what spoke to her. With her caring and sharing personality, she would help those she found in need. She loved animals, and would always have a stray cat, dog, turtle or lizard that needed saving. She has spent many years caring for her brother, Steven as his health declined. She still found time to enjoy making arts and crafts, running her Cricut and making little things.

Jeanae overcame many challenges in her life. She was homeless for a time, she struggled with bipolar, physical ailments, and life threw a lot at her. While she had these obstacles, she did her best to be loving, always sharing even if she had little for herself. As she has completed her mortal sojourn she has gone home to her loving Heavenly parents and is no longer burdened by a broken, imperfect body. She will be missed, but we look forward to a wonderous reunion some day.

Jeanae is survived by her brother, Steven R. Hudson; and her nieces and nephews; Steven Hudson, Niece (Steve's daughter), Nephew (Steve's son); W. Rusty (Wendy) Shewmake, and Kevin Shewmake, Shelby Menino, Ashley (Hunter) Watson, She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Anita F. Gibson.
