Jean Leatham Setterfield
Verla Jean Leatham Setterfield, age 78, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Highland Manor, Mesquite, Nevada. She was born December 30, 1930 in Rexburg, Idaho to Joseph Thurman and Rose Flamm Chambers. On September 4, 1950 she married Warren Leatham in Rexburg, ID. He passed away on July 12, 1991. On March 25, 1995 she married Floyd Merlyn Setterfield in Overton, NV. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2001. Jean grew up in Thornton, Idaho where she graduated from Rexburg High School. She lived a brief time in Southern California before settling into Overton, Nevada where she raised her family. She worked as a beautician for eight years. She volunteered at the Overton Senior Center for many years and enjoyed serving in the American Legion and VFW Women's Auxiliary. As a faithful member of the LDS church, she served as a temple ordinance worker, as a stake missionary and many other callings. Survivors include one son and three daughters: Delmar W (Joan) Leatham of Logandale, NV; Larene C (James) Robison; Karla Jean (Mike) Fetherson; Tanya Kay Robinson all of Overton, NV; one step son, Michael (Linda) Leatham of Lebanon, OR; 23 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; two sisters and one brother: Lyverda Bowen of Overton, NV; Ruth (Ted) Hinckley of Rexburg, ID and Val (Gail) Chambers of Thornton, Idaho. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. at the Overton LDS Chapel. Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary.
