Janice Dean "JD" Robinson, age 53, died Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Moapa, Nevada surrounded by family. She was born January 27, 1962 in Castro Valley, California to Robert Robinson and Marley Perkins Robinson.
J.D. lived most of her life in Moapa. She married Randy Dufour on September 26, 1981 in Moapa. They were married for 25 years and have 5 children. They later divorced.
In her youth JD participated in junior and high school rodeo, which was the source of many fond memories for her. She enjoyed reading, particularly mystery novels. She loved being a mother and grandmother to her own and others.
She is survived by four daughters and two sons; Sandra (Laurence) Guisinger of Granger, WA, James (Heather) Dufour of Goldfield, NV, Robby (Will) Mandac of Japan, Cory (Nichole) Dufour, of Stockton, CA, Desirae (Chad) Zamito of Moapa, Randi Lynn (Chris) King of Stockton, CA; 14 Grandchildren: Andrea, Keely, Tobi, Elijah, Mckenzie, Alizabeth, Jazmen, Austin, Micheal, Sofia, Coltyn, Saige, Brodey, Aria; one brother and two sisters: Latrice (Dan) Whitmore of Tonopah, Robin (Jennie) Robinson of Fort Collins, CO, Berdette (Steve) Clark of Moapa. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Wayne and Ute Curtis.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints new Logandale Chapel. Visitation will be at 12:30 prior to the services at the Chapel . Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery. Following interment a celebration of her life will be held at the Moapa Recreation Center. All are welcome.
