Jason Ronald Slaughter, age 37, passed away Tuesday, March 30, 2015 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born August 3, 1977 in Canoga Park, California to Jay Ronald Slaughter and Patricia Ann Turnbull.
Jason grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada. He had an unfortunate accident the night of his high school graduation that resulted in paralysis from the neck down. While this slowed him down physically, he didn't lose his spirit. He continued to be full of life and had many friends. He lived in Reno, Carson City, Las Vegas, and finally found his forever home in Overton. Everywhere he lived, he made friends without problem, and had an excellent show of strength and a positive attitude. He was a member of the Carson City Raiders Booster Club and he loved the Raider's passion.
Survivors include his father, Jay (Debi) Slaughter of Rosamond, CA; two sisters, Danielle Slaughter of Elko, Nevada, and Brittney Bird; three brothers, John Bird, Tim Bird, and Christ Bird also of Rosamond, CA; His caretaker / fiance Yvette Vainisi of Overton, NV, and extended family.
Family members and friends are invited to a gathering and celebration of His life held on Thursday, March 9th at 2:30pm at the Logandale Park; pot luck dinner (optional). We invite you to share any fun stories or memories of him.
