Jason Edward Casey

February 20, 1972 — June 9, 2013

Jason Edward Casey, Age 41, passed away from injuries sustained in a traffic accident on June 9th, 2013, at the scene of the accident. Jason was born on February 20th, 1972 in Sedalia, Missouri, raised in Adel, Iowa, the son of Dearld J. Casey and Teresa L. Leonard.

Jason was a bit of a jack of all trades. Mastering in mechanics, whether it be cars, motorcycles, or motor homes. Being the mechanic he was...was a big part of his life. Of course that was second to being a father, to his son JC and his daughter Rylee Rose. They were both the loves of his life. There wasn't much that this man wouldn't do for those children.

Jason was quite a character. He always seemed to have a new joke to tell or could make anything into one. He always made damn sure to make anyone laugh. One of the things that I respected the most about my brother was that even though he had such a carefree attitude, he also had a serious side. A big heart that boy had!

He made quite a life for himself in Beaver Dam, Arizona/Mesquite, Nevada, area. He absolutely loved the desert and the many people in that area, especially Amy. She was the one person that he would never let go of.

We all had fond memories and personal attributes that made Jason such a wonderful person. He left this world all too soon.

Jason is survived by his mother, Terri Leonard; his siter, Angie (Casey) Chapman; his brother Matt (Pete) Peters; his son JC (Jason Jr.) Casey (22); his daughter Rylee Rose (8); his step-father Steve Leonard; the love of his life Amy (Allen) Rueda; grandparents Goldie Hamel and Helen Hughlette; two half sisters Lori Ives Allee and Heather Ives Beazley; a half brother Gordon Clark; and dad, Gary Peters, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews and lifelong friends.

Jason was preceded in death by his father, Dearld J. Casey (2011); father-in-law Robert W. Allen; grandparents, Chester Ed Casey, Philip Hamel and Robert Hughlette.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Virgin Valley Mortuary in Mesquite, Nevada, condolences may be left at www.virginvalley mortuary.com. A celebration of Jason's life was held at the Dam Bar, in Beaver Dam, Arizona, on June 12, 2013.
