Janice Ann Loveland-Grandi

Janice Ann Loveland – Grandi, age 91, died Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at her niece’s home in Overton, Nevada. Janice was born November 28, 1932 in Boulder City, Nevada to Howard Leslie and Dora Chadburn Perkins

Janice was born in Boulder City as her father was working on the construction of the Hoover Dam. After the job was completed, they moved to Torrance, California where she completed her high school education. She attended college in Cedar City, Utah, and then moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she lived the greater part of her life. She enjoyed the social life of working in the hotel industry. She worked as an office manager at the El Rancho Hotel, the Riviera Hotel and finally at the Aladdin Hotel. She was an excellent seamstress, a master crafter and enjoyed making gifts with her embroidery machine.

Survivors include two brothers, Howard (Kathryn) Perkins of Pacific Grove, CA and John (Janis) Perkins of Glendale, AZ; brother-in-law, Calvin Payne of Overton, NV and her 6 nieces and 1 nephew: Lyle Payne, Sandy Robison, Natalie Jacobsmeyer, Tonianne Kekel, Ginny Perkins, Melanie Buck and Natalie Aspaas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Grandi and her sister, Tonia Payne. 

Her ashes will be interred with her husband’s ashes in the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery near other family members. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
