Janet Arlene Jensen

August 2, 1937-- August 21, 2008

Mom passed away peacefully at home, after a short but serious bout with liver cancer. She worked for the Clark County School Dist. starting out as the playground supervisor and retiring 33yrs later as the Vice Principal's Secretary. She enjoyed working with the kids being one of the cheerleading advisors. She was always active in school activities and promoting school spirit. Working as a lifeguard at the city pool during the summers she kept in touch with all of the kids, she always stayed busy sometimes working two or three jobs. She had an insurmountable love of antiques, bottles mostly. Almost a lifetime resident of Mesquite, she saw the good and bad changes but still called it home. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and her loving husband Derald of nearly forty years. She is survived by her oldest son Jon (Connie), daughter Janna (Bryant), and the youngest DJ (Natalie) and her constant companion Muffy. While absent physically, her presence is still with all of those whose heart she touched, and will never be forgotten.

The family would like to thank Virgin Valley home hospice for their promptness and caring, a very special thank you Mitzi, Merle, Vikki, Abby Valerie and all the others that came and saw her and to help keep up her spirits. Godspeed our beloved mother we will always and forever love you.

Graveside Memorial was held Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 9 am at the Mesquite Cemetery.
