Jamon Von Bunker, age 47, died tragically on July 9, 2021 at Echo Bay, Lake Mead, NV. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Kimberly Brown Bunker, and their four children, Bailey, Sierra, Jayden, and Jaxson.
Jamon was born November 5, 1973 in Sacramento, CA to Jay and Nedra Bunker. He is the oldest of five children, Scott, Jodi, Derek, and Travis. Growing up he lived in Escondido, June Lake, San Marcos, and Valley Center, CA. Jamon graduated from Orange Glenn High School, where he earned varsity letters in basketball and volleyball. He also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He taught his brothers and sisters how to play, serve, and love big.
After high school Jamon served the people of Alberta, Canada for two years before beginning college in Utah. After two years of college and work, he moved to Las Vegas. He married Kimberly Brown and graduated from the Police Academy. When their family increased in size with the addition of two daughters (Bailey and Sierra), Jamon and Kim decided to change careers from the bicycle beat on the Strip to residential construction in St. George, UT.
Jamon went into business with a friend and together they built a successful construction company. During this time two more children, Jayden and Jaxson, were added to the family while living in Logandale, NV. After several years of self-employment, Jamon continued his career in construction with Crisci Builders.
Jamon loved his family and is loved dearly by them. He was a kind, loyal, and thoughtful husband, father, son, brother, friend, uncle, nephew, cousin, and grandson. Most of his free time was spent supporting the activities and interests of his children. He lived an honest, faithful, and fun filled life. Jamon enjoyed time at the beach, in the mountains, on the lake, and trips to watch March Madness games. He enjoyed spending time and making memories with his family and friends.
A viewing service will be held on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00pm PST at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Logandale Stake Center, 2555 St. Joseph Street; funeral services will be held Friday, July 16, 2021 at 10:00am PST also at the stake center. Graveside services will follow at 6:00pm MST at the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah.
