James Edgar Robertson

James Edgar Robertson, 76, passed away on April 24, 2016 in Mesquite, NV. James was born on June 13, 1939 in Portland, OR to Edgar Ernest Robertson and Anna Ethel Falmer. James married Karen Rae Hurd in Las Vegas, NV on November 13, 1996.

James was a kind, easy-going man, who enjoyed spending his time reading and being at home. He enjoyed outdoor camping and traveling in a mobile home with his wife Karen. He also enjoyed spending time at the casinos in Mesquite. James enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved people and served those that crossed his way. James also loved his country, and was proud to have served in the U.S. Army in Korea and enjoyed talking about his time stationed in Italy. After his military service, he worked in Oregon at Ruan Truck Company as the Shop Manager. James had a great sense of humor and enjoyed kidding around with those around him.

James is survived by his wife Karen Robertson; his sisters: Jean Shipman of Tracy, CA, Margaret Wiles of Portland, OR; daughter Laura Robertson; nephews: Steve, Doug and Bruce Shipman; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. James is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Anna Robertson; and his brother Bill Robertson.

Due to James’s wishes, there will be no public memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to send your contribution to "We Care For Animals" foundation in James’s name, and express gratitude for your condolences.
