James Arthur Potter, age 68, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at his daughter's home in Logandale, Nevada. He was born May 8, 1944 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Troy Lee and Thelma Margaret Schunot Beshears. He was raised by his step father, James Potter. On July 5, 1962 he married Jane Lynn Staub in Las Vegas. James spent most of his life in Las Vegas, moving to Logandale in 1999. He served in the US Navy for 7 years. He was a member of the Laborers Union working at the MGM doing landscaping and gardening. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing. Survivors will include his wife, Jane; one son, Daniel; one daughter Amy (Paul) Sierra-Ossmen; grandchildren, Dylan and Celiena Sierra; niece, Debbie Jablonski all of Logandale. He was preceded in death by six brothers and one sister. Private family services will be held.
