James Francis Jenson, age 75, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Highland Manor in Mesquite after a long courageous battle with Alzheimers Disease. He was born April 9, 1936 in Weston, Iowa to James Christopher and Mary Veronica Smith Jenson. On September 8, 2008 he married Carol Rae Purkey in Fredonia, Arizona. James grew up in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He served in the US Army then worked for 25 years at Pendleton Mills in Bellvue, Nebraska. He lived for nine years in Fredonia, Arizona before settling in Overton, Nevada. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Carol, step daughter, Kelly (Mathew) Burke; step grandson, Dakota all of Overton, NV; nephew and friend John (Diane) Daily of Council Bluffs, IA; one sister in Moville, IA and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the Pioneer Hill Memorial Cemetery.
