James Jensen

James Anders Jensen, age 71, died Tuesday, September 25, 2012 in Overton, Nevada. He was born December 31, 1941 in Racine, Wisconsin to Anders and Oda Therkelsen Jensen.

James grew up in Sacramento, California. He then moved to South Lake Tahoe where he met his wife and fathered a son. He then moved to Dayton, Nevada to take a job as a corrections officer at the Nevada State Correctional Facility and fathered two daughters. He retired in 1989 and continued to live in the Carson City Valley while snowbirding in Overton, Nevada. He loved duck hunting, fishing and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include one son and two daughters: Brett (Ruth) Jensen of Sacramento, CA; Kelly (Soren) Vainio of Denmark; Krissy (Kevin) Van Wie of Sacramento, CA and two grandchildren (Lukas and Sasha). He was preceded in death by one brother.

Private family services will be held.
