Jacque Leroy Plummer, age 77, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born August 16, 1931 in Rochester, New York to Gerald and Elva Scouten Plummer. On December 5, 1953 he married Loraine Mary Pierce in Rochester, New York.
Jacque grew up in Rochester, NY. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. For a short time he live in Southern California, then moved back to Rochester. After retiring as a Test Engineer for Hughes Aircraft, he moved to Mesquite, NV in 1997. He spent the last two years living in Las Vegas. Jacque enjoyed fishing and camping.
Survivors include his wife Loraine "Lory" of Las Vegas, NV; sons Jacque Plummer of Las Vegas, NV, Gerald (Laurie) Plummer of Anaheim, CA; daughters Jeanne (Bill) Martin of Las Vegas, NV, Sue Branske of Henderson, NV, Lynn (Jim) Dale of Boulder City, NV, Kathy (Ron) Springer of Henderson, NV and Lauri (Fred) Glagovich of West Minster, CA; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday,February 28, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 2300 Sunridge Height, Henderson, NV. Visitation will be Friday, February 27 from 4 - 7 p.m. at Palm Eastern Mortuary. Interment will be in the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Moapa Valley Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Odyssey Health Care, 4011-A McLeod Dr., Las Vegas, NV 89121 in memory of Jacque.
