Jackeletta Stirling Pulsipher, age 90, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2019 in Lancaster, California. She was born May 10, 1929 in Hurricane, Utah to Rex and Thelma Workman Stirling. On July 16, 1949 she married Bassel Warren Pulsipher in Las Vegas, Nevada. On November 30, 1963 they were sealed in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on July 31, 2009.
Jackeletta grew up in Leeds, Utah until moving to Hurricane when she was twelve. She was always a good athlete and a hard worker, she used these talents to win fruit picking competitions in their home town. After meeting and marrying Warren, they raised their family in San Diego. She was a devoted mother and wife and found great joy in serving others. She served in many church callings and enjoyed quilting, gardening and baking for the family. She always had a love for Southern Utah, especially spending time on Kolob Mountain.
Survivors include her son, Michael (Didi) of Hemet, CA; daughter, Denise (Curtis) Paul of Lancaster, CA; eleven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and one brother, Tom (Fawn) Stirling of Henderson, NV. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters; Mary, Brent, Robert, Cherrie and Sue.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 9, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mesquite Whipple Chapel, 121 Elwin Whipple Way, Mesquite, Nevada. Visitation will be prior to services from 9-30 - 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Mesquite City Cemetery.
