Jack Azbill
Andrew Jackson Azbill, Jr., went to meet the Lord Monday, April 1, 2019 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born June 24, 1936 in Presidio, Texas to Andrew Jackson Azbill, Sr. and Pauline Nunn Azbill. On October 25, 1986 he married Francine Martin in Pahrump, Nevada.
As a child his family moved to northern Nevada and he graduated from Reno High School.
In 1958 he moved to Las Vegas and worked at the Nevada Test Site as an electrician. He also spent time "traveling" and working at jobs all over the country. He worked for a time as a Deputy in Arizona and later as Deputy Sheriff in Nye County. He went back to work as an electrician and moved to Overton in November of 2007.
Jack enjoyed driving race cars up into his 50's at various race venues and off-road four wheelers at the Amargosa Sand Dunes. He also enjoyed fishing and golf.
He is survived by his wife, Francine of Overton; one daughter Gwynn Bridges of Las Vegas, two sons; Mark of Reno, NV and Thomas of Las Vegas; three step children: David Martin of Caliente, Tina Newton of Las Vegas and Bryan Martin of Dallas, GA; 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Azbill of Cottonwood, AZ and one sister, Paula O’Dowd of Tucson, AZ. He is preceded in death by one grandchild and one brother, John Nunn Azbill.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Community Church, 210 N. Andersen Street, Overton, NV. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guestbook at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
