Ila Jean Tobler, age 94 , died Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Henderson, Nevada. She was born January 12, 1928 in Malad, Idaho to William Earling and Deseret Camp Moon. On March 18, 1948 she was sealed to Cloyd Alfred Tobler in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1996.
Ila was raised in Malad, Idaho. She attended BYU for one year where she started a fifty plus year courtship. They raised their family in Henderson, Nevada where she was a loving and respected homemaker and loving mother. She was a devoted and faithful member of the church. She loved serving as a primary music leader for more than twenty years. She served as Relief Society President as well as many other callings. She enjoyed painting and she was a talented window painter, in high demand every Christmas.
Survivors include one son and three daughters: David (Jeri) of Montrose, CO; Linda (Chris) Bair of Henderson, NV; Karen (Terry) Scoble of Eagle Mountain, UT; Lisa (Kit) Williams of Henderson, NV; 25 grandchildren; 93 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane; one granddaughter, Selena; three brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Michael McKinnis and Selena Bair.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mission Hills Ward, 801 Arrowhead Trail, Henderson. Visitation will be for one hour prior to services. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Mesquite Cemetery, Mesquite, Nevada.
