Ida May Mitchell age 88 passed peacefully to begin her eternal life on Thursday morning, January 7th, 2021 in Mesquite Nevada. Ida was born on May 14th, 1932 in Minnesota.  Ida was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Hugh Mitchell, her son Arthur Mitchell Jr., infant son John, parents Edward Rudolph Rydberg and Ida Anna Barbara Rydberg and brother Ronald Rydberg.  Ida is survived by daughter Linda Squire, son William Mitchell, daughter Barbara Field, seven Grandchildren, seven Great Grandchildren, brother Rudy Rydberg.

Ida was raised in Arvada Colorado.  Ida graduated from Arvada High School in 1950.  Ida married her husband Arthur “Art” Mitchell on December 16th, 1951 at the First Baptist Church of Arvada Colorado.  Ida worked as a telephone operator, secretary for an insurance company, but mostly as a homemaker raising her kids.  Ida had many talents including art, music, creative writing, and many other artistic endeavors.  Ida moved to Mesquite Nevada with her husband Art in 2002.  Ida was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mesquite Nevada.  Her favorite saying in life was “Glad I Did”.
